IIS

Rev. Dr. Antony Kolenchery MSFS established IIS on 08 September 1989. IIS is an International institute of spiritual theology recognized by the Bangalore University and incorporated into St. Peter’s Pontifical institute. A diploma course began in 1991 and was upgraded in 1993 into a Research centre in Spiritual Theology.

Aim:

  • To promote study and research in the spirituality of east and west.
  • To bring personal integration in the life of persons.
  • To bring about spiritual, religious, psychological and social integration

Indian Institute of Spirituality is envisioned to be an exemplary institute of Formation for Religious, Priests and lay people inspired by St. Francis de Sales and guided by the norms of Christian values and principles. With transformative contemporary programs accompanied by competent formators and resource persons the institute will provide the church with human, holy, learned and service-oriented personnel.
