MSFS House Kolar

The centre was envisaged and built by Fr. George Puraidom MSFS as part of PSI in Malur. The intention was to start vocational skills training for unemployed rural youth especially in the Kolar area as it is entrusted to the care of MSFS congregation for 40-year contract period. The centre was completed and inaugurated in the year 2001. Originally the centre had a carpentary, electrical and electronic unit. Later on a book binding section was added to this. Now the centre has a formal ITI course in computers along with various other skills. The centre offers pastoral assistance to migrants in syro Malabar rite. Of late the masses are shifted to the St. Mary’s Church in Kolar due to lack of space in the centre for the large number of people gathering for services.

The profit from the centre is disbursed in the following manner.
